Crossroads Campaign

 naming opportunities

As of January 17, 2010

Safehouse Facility
The new safehouse will provide safety and hope to thousands of women and their children for many years to come. Crossroads would be honored to name the building for a donor or their designee.
$1,000,000

Children’s Courtyard
Most of the children who stay at the Safehouse are two to ten years old and they need a place to play. The Children’s Courtyard, in the center of the safehouse, will give the children a safe place to go and just be kids! The Courtyard includes a playground and a sport court for children to jump rope, play four-square, basketball, or a variety of other fun activities.
$500,000

Conference/Community Meeting Room
This large, flexible space (which can be divided into two rooms with a moveable wall) will serve as the agency's conference room. Volunteers, staff, committees, donors and board members will make use of this room. In addition, it is also available for large meetings; such as volunteer trainings, and educational seminars. This room may be leased to other nonprofits and community organizations.
$250,000

Entry Reception and Greeting Room
The entry reception is a warm, friendly place to welcome women and their children beginning their lives free from violence. The greeting room is a private, calm room for interviewing new shelter residents and their children. This is the first place most women will tell their story.
$150,000

The Commissary
The Commissary is a central location where families come to get groceries for their meal preparation. Stocked with pantry items and perishables in refrigerators, families find the food they need, including for special diets.

Security System
Crossroads Safehouse will have a state-of-the-art security system with motion sensors, a computerized access system, cameras, and sally ports (secure entries that consist of a series of doors and gates). This important component of the facility provides safety for the residents and the agency.
$125,000

Play Room
Since the Safehouse shelters so many children and teens, a separate room was designated to provide activities for them and a safe place to play indoors. The play room windows look out to the Children’s Courtyard.
$100,000

The Boutique
In The Boutique, women can find clothes, toiletries and other necessities for themselves and their children. This room allows them to prepare for a new job or school year. Children can also “shop” for gifts for their moms at Christmas time.
$75,000

Chapel
The chapel is a room that can be used for prayer and meditation.
Reserved

Shared Living Room, Workspace, Kitchen (4 still available)
Each group of 7 to 9 rooms in the Safehouse has a separate Living Room, Kitchen and Workspace. This allows the women to maintain a more home-like experience, both for themselves and their children.
$50,000

Healing Garden
This east-facing garden has walkways, benches, and plenty of sunny spots where residents can grow plants and herbs.
$50,000

Meditation Garden
This north-facing courtyard with a large shade tree is a quiet place for reflection.
$40,000

Children’s Meeting Room
Children are deeply affected by domestic violence, so Crossroads provides group meetings to help them work through their experiences and learn about non-violent relationships.
$35,000

Men’s Suite
This is a separate, private room, bath and kitchenette to house men in need of shelter due to domestic violence.
$35,000

Quarantine Suite
To ensure the health of those staying at the Safehouse, this bedroom, with bath and kitchenette, shelters a woman and her children who arrive with a communicable health issue.
$35,000

Women’s Group Meeting Rooms (2 still available)
Safehouse residents use the meeting rooms for group meetings. There, staff members help them explore the dynamics of domestic violence, how to recognize it early, and how to break away from the pattern—both for themselves and their children.
$35,000

Teen Meeting Room
This room is used for teen group meetings. Here, the advocates work with the teens to teach them about non-violent relationships.
$30,000

Universal Accessibility Rooms (6 still available)
Since many of the women coming to the Safehouse are disabled, there will be rooms to accommodate them comfortably. Accessible rooms have a bed and private bathroom.
$25,000

Double Rooms (24 still available)
These rooms will shelter women, and often their children, who are escaping domestic violence. Each bedroom is furnished with two twin beds with trundle beds underneath.
$20,000
